Emergency electrical help
An electrical emergency is anything that leaves your property unsafe or without power you rely on: a burning smell, sparking, water getting into fittings, or a whole house with no electricity. The electrician's first job is to make the installation safe. Once that's done, they trace the fault and give you a price for the repair before doing any further work.

Frequently asked questions
How much is an emergency call-out?
The call-out price is shown when you book. It covers an electrician attending, making the installation safe and finding the fault. Any repair is priced and agreed with you before work starts.
Can I book an emergency electrician online?
Yes. Choose the problem, enter your postcode and pick the next available option or a time that suits you. You'll get a booking reference straight away.
What should I do if there's smoke or fire?
Leave the property and call 999. Don't try to deal with an electrical fire yourself. Book an electrician once the fire service says it's safe.
What if the whole street has no power?
That's usually a fault on the local network rather than your wiring. Call 105, the free national power cut number, before booking.
Do you work on commercial premises?
Yes. We attend shops, offices and other commercial properties as well as homes.
Will you fix the fault on the first visit?
Many faults can be repaired on the first visit. If parts or further work are needed, you'll be told what and how much before anything is done.
