What should I do if there's smoke or fire?
Leave the property and call 999. Don't try to deal with an electrical fire yourself. Book an electrician once the fire service says it's safe.
Can I use other sockets?
If they're on a different circuit and nothing else is affected, usually yes. If unsure, switch off at the main switch.
How much is an emergency call-out?
